Zimbabwe's rhino population

First time in 30 years Black rhinoceros population is thriving in Zimbabwe. Efforts taken by conservationists prompted surpassing more than 1,000 individuals, including White and Black rhino populations. Because of the strenuous protection, tracking, and management of these animals, their population numbers have continued to thrive. Still, a lot has to be done but committed conservation groups are working hard to keep the nation's rhinoceros safe from poachers.

It is a piece of good news but on the other hand, it is upsetting that we need to prevent wildlife from dying out. And worse, those endangered animals are vanishing because of us, people. We're greedy for ivory, exotic fur, or horns. Our actions lead us to a place where the next generation will not have the possibility to look at lions, rhinos, pandas, etc. Those animals will be just past. We are an invasive species and we need to change that, even a little bit. Wildlife should and have to be protected, we need to save them from ruthless poachers.

  1. With the human population reaching 8 billion in November, there is little chance that people will become less invasive. Having invaded the most remote corners of the Earth, we're now invading the Moon and other planets.
