Inhabited moon by 2030

Artemis is the name of NASA's programme to return astronauts to the lunar surface since the Apollo 17 mission in 1972. Howard Hu, the chief of NASA's Orion lunar spacecraft programme, stated that people could be on the moon for periods before 2030, with environments to live in and space vehicles to assist them. And on Wednesday we were witnesses to the beginning of Artemis 1 journey. The massive spaceship, with the Orion spacecraft on top, took off from Cape Canaveral in Florida after a sequence of hold-ups due to technical difficulties and extreme weather events, hurricanes. The spacecraft is equipped with three fully dressed mannequins that will record the stresses and strains of the Artemis 1 mission.

This is a fascinating event that will change the view on the overall cosmos probe and the Mars colonization initiative, we would solve the problems that may occur during such a huge project and see how it affects us, as humans. Can't wait for further information and steps, space exploration is so exciting and remarkable. Also, I'm curious if there will be people who will think it's once again faked.

  1. I am somehow less excited. In the past people colonised all continents, killing its native populations and ultimately bringing disaster to the whole planet. Do we want to do the same to the rest of the universe?
